Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Froth.tv ("we", "us", the "Service"), operated from Australia. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Early access — Phase 1
Froth.tv is in early access. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. We make no promise of uptime, continuity, or that anything you save today will exist tomorrow. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".
2. Your account
Accounts use email magic-link sign-in. You're responsible for keeping access to your email secure — anyone with your inbox can access your account. One account per person. We may suspend or delete accounts that abuse the Service. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to use the Service.
3. Third-party content
Froth.tv is an aggregator. Clips are embedded from YouTube and play under YouTube's own terms. News comes from public RSS feeds published by their respective outlets. Webcams are operated by third parties — we link to or embed them, we do not operate them. We do not host, own, or claim any rights over this content; all of it belongs to its owners. If you own content surfaced on Froth.tv and want it removed, email us and we'll action it promptly.
Availability (*): we can only surface athletes, cams, locations and feeds that are lawfully and publicly available to us. Some cams, spots, athletes or details will never appear on Froth.tv because we do not have — or cannot legally obtain — the rights or data to show them. Absence of a spot or cam is not an error; it may be a legal constraint.
4. Conditions data — not for safety decisions
Wave, wind, swell, and tide information is sourced from third-party forecast models (including Open-Meteo). It is indicative only, can be wrong, stale, or unavailable, and must never be relied on for safety decisions. Check official warnings and use your own judgment before entering the water, the backcountry, or anywhere else. To the maximum extent permitted by law we accept no responsibility for decisions made on the basis of conditions data shown on the Service.
5. Acceptable use
Don't attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service; don't use it to infringe anyone's rights; don't submit unlawful, defamatory, or abusive content through any form on the Service.
6. Suggestions
When you suggest an athlete (or anything else) through the Service, you grant us a free, perpetual right to use that suggestion to improve the Service, with no obligation to act on it or credit you.
7. Our IP
The Froth.tv name, logo, design, and code are ours. Third-party content remains its owners'. You may not copy or reuse our branding without written permission.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we exclude all other liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, and where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, we limit it to re-supplying the Service.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the Service grows. Material changes will be flagged on the Service. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Disputes belong to the courts of Western Australia.
