Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 July 2026
This policy explains what Froth.tv collects and why, in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run your feed, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
1. What we collect
Your email address — used for magic-link sign-in and nothing else unless you opt in later. Your saves — the sports, athletes, and cams you follow; this is your feed. Your suggestions — athlete names you submit, linked to your account. Technical basics — standard server logs (IP, browser, timestamps) kept by our hosting provider for security and debugging.
2. What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't run advertising trackers. We don't profile you beyond the feed you build yourself.
3. Cookies
We set essential cookies only: an authentication cookie that keeps you signed in. Embedded YouTube players use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); YouTube may still set its own cookies when you press play, under Google's policies.
4. Where your data lives
Accounts and saves are stored with Supabase; the site is hosted on Vercel; sign-in emails are delivered via Resend. These providers may store or process data on servers outside Australia (including the United States). Conditions data (waves, wind, tide) is fetched from Open-Meteo using cam coordinates only — no personal data is sent to them.
5. Access, correction, deletion
Email us and we'll show you what we hold, fix it, or delete your account and everything attached to it. Deletion is permanent.
6. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
7. Breaches and complaints
If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll notify you and the OAIC as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme. Complaints: contact us first at the address below; if unresolved, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
8. Changes
We'll update this policy as the Service grows and flag material changes on the Service.
