A best wishes for 2012 video from Being There. Awesome ski, some relaxed rails in the middle make it for me. WARNING: ARTSY
You would be cray not to check this video out.

Another pick from the slew of 2011 christmas videos. This one is good – a 17yo from North America recorded a cover of ‘Little Drummer Boy’ – playing all instruments and mixing himself. How keen.
A well good upbeat listen, even if you don’t get down with the lyrics.
A little while back, I posted the Urban Ski segment from Sherpa Cinema’s awesome ‘All I Can’ ski film. It was making all kinds of wavves around the internet, but it was uploaded by a random punter, probably would not stay up for long. This was correct.
However, the folks at Sherpa Cinema have uploaded their own copy of Urban Ski, in glorious HD. Definitely worth re-enjoying in HD.
UPDATE – See the video in HD here, Sherpa Cinema took down the original video link.
This video, a snippet from Sherpa Cinema’s ‘All I Can’ epic ski film – is super dangerous, and of course very artsy. It’s uploaded by a random punter, and is getting noticed all around the web (the twitter, the reddit, kotke). Enjoy it while you can, and consider downloading ‘All I Can’ for even more goodness (though this is one of the best scenes).
German (?) film about how to make an igloo. Shot in HD, with liberal dose of artsy. Uses a GoPro too! It’s really well shot, interesting, solid music, snow. All good. Watch below.
The Art of Flight is a phenomenal film. The cinematography is awe inspiring, with judicious use of slow motion HD and also an excess of helicopters. There are snippets shot on GoPro cameras as well, which is always exciting.
The narrating can get cheesy (“I just like.. feel the snow man. It’s a lifestyle. The winter chose me.”) – but this is reversed and then some, by the absolutely epic soundtrack. Some highlights include M83, M83, the Naked and Famous, and M83.

The movie is phenomenal, Travis Rice really nailed it. Many of the artists featured have excellent albums/old releases, and are definitely worth a listen. Loose times!

One might feel bad about posting about glorious Summer activities [the beautifully shot GoPro promo with girls surfing in Hawaii] while the northern half of the globe suffer some brutal cold. Snow seem kind of cool though. And this guy has a dog. A freaking amazing dog.
Did you know that the Northern Hemisphere has 90% of the human population? [wikipedia] I did not.
