I can’t believe how blatant this rip off of the Lord of The Rings is. I mean, the wizard actor even looks the same. And they even have Dwarves! I wish Hollywood would stop remaking things that already exist and come up with some new content!
This should be good. The trailer isn’t life changing, but seen in 3D, it should impress.
You may have heard of Iceland. It’s actually a real place! THIS GIRl went on a 21 day hike there in 2011, and created this majestic film. It goes for 15 minutes, and shows some epic scenery. Got time to chill? Got some jealousy to throw her way? Watch it.
It all begins with this magnificient image, screen printed onto a black shirt. Then, thousands of orders later, you end up with the greatest wolf shirt of all time spread all over the globe. It has more than 1600 five star reviews… just to let you know how popular that is.
Tom Yum Goong (Thailand) or Warrior King (United Kingdom) or The Protector (United States) has one of the sweetest ‘onesie’ shots, a completely ridiculous scene with no cuts.
The scene starts around 4 seconds in, and lasts for an impressive four and a bit minutes. Not the longest ‘onesie’ – but incredibly impressive given the level of action.
Holy smokes. Kimbra performs on Australian TV, using a loop machine and some mind whipping vocals. Kimbra needs to break internationally, though sheer talent is not always enough. This song is fucking amazing, give it a listen…
Don’t forget how beautiful Afghanistan is, despite… war. It’s an amazing place, dusty roads and orchards, with a backdrop of epic mountain ranges.
It is chilling to watch a video such as this, and consider how dehumanized your view of Afghanistan has become after reading or watching hundreds of news reports.
The Art of Flight is a phenomenal film. The cinematography is awe inspiring, with judicious use of slow motion HD and also an excess of helicopters. There are snippets shot on GoPro cameras as well, which is always exciting.
The narrating can get cheesy (“I just like.. feel the snow man. It’s a lifestyle. The winter chose me.”) – but this is reversed and then some, by the absolutely epic soundtrack. Some highlights include M83, M83, the Naked and Famous, and M83.

The movie is phenomenal, Travis Rice really nailed it. Many of the artists featured have excellent albums/old releases, and are definitely worth a listen. Loose times!
