Addictions Video

This video is apparently about addictions – specifically to technoglogy. Couldn’t relate personally. It’s well worth a watch, particularly as the entire concept (sound and video) were created at the same time. Impressive.

At one point there is a neon sign in the background with the phrase ‘MSG’ on it. So artsy.

Making Knives by Hand

Joel Bukiewicz of Cut Brooklyn. He talks about the human element of craft, and the potential for a skill to mature into an art. And in sharing his story, he alights on the real meaning of handmade—a movement whose riches are measured in people, not cash

If the description doesn’t let you know, the first black and white shot of Joel leaning on a wall outside his shop front will — this video is super artsy. So of course I dig it.

I wouldn’t imagine many knives are made with as much care as Joel’s. The entire process and Joel’s thoughts are beautifully shot, and sharp knives are inherently cool. Awesome.

1987 – Arsty BMX Film

This video, is too artsy. Even for my artsy self. Robot voice is cool though.

It would become apparent if you checked my YouTube and Vimeo history that I really, really do like artsy extreme sports videos. They combine the excitement of sports I cannot play particularly well, with the beauty that HD, slow-mo, GoPro, Twixtor and chill beats (music) all combine to offer. This one needs a bit more BMX, a bit less artsy-ness.

It’s also an advertisement for G-Shock watches. If you don’t pick that up.
