I wouldn’t imagine many knives are made with as much care as Joel’s. The entire process and Joel’s thoughts are beautifully shot, and sharp knives are inherently cool. Awesome.

Grant Taylor is the skater of the year for 2011 according to Thrasher magazine. They celebrated with this gnarly promo video. Old school cuts to match the punk music, two decent crash landings, and one particularly awesomely graffiti-ed bowl. Gnarly.
The promo is for a new DVD, but has enough narrative to be an awesome standalone. Sexy HD. No slowmotion though – always devastating.
Don’t forget how beautiful Afghanistan is, despite… war. It’s an amazing place, dusty roads and orchards, with a backdrop of epic mountain ranges.
It is chilling to watch a video such as this, and consider how dehumanized your view of Afghanistan has become after reading or watching hundreds of news reports.

It would become apparent if you checked my YouTube and Vimeo history that I really, really do like artsy extreme sports videos. They combine the excitement of sports I cannot play particularly well, with the beauty that HD, slow-mo, GoPro, Twixtor and chill beats (music) all combine to offer. This one needs a bit more BMX, a bit less artsy-ness.
It’s also an advertisement for G-Shock watches. If you don’t pick that up.
One might feel bad about posting about glorious Summer activities [the beautifully shot GoPro promo with girls surfing in Hawaii] while the northern half of the globe suffer some brutal cold. Snow seem kind of cool though. And this guy has a dog. A freaking amazing dog.
Did you know that the Northern Hemisphere has 90% of the human population? [wikipedia] I did not.
Every one of the beautifully shot adverts for GoPro are a solid reminder to get outside to the beach and do awesome things. In the sun. With a waterproof High Definition camera.
