SnapRoll Media use remote controlled helicopters to get awesome footage. Sounds like a fun hobby? It was, but they mount Red Epic cameras onto their RC helicopters now. Red Epic cameras start at ~34,000 and are serious business. Check out the sick footage they can capture when mounted to a RC chopper! Video is form a demo reel, and shows snowboarding, bmx, car shots, et al.
Red Epic cameras are being used for the new Spider-Man film, the Hobbit, Prometheus (Alien prequel), The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Avatar 2… So they are kind of a big deal. Awesome stuff.
