Youtube user keef70 got bored of all that artsy extreme sports GoPro HD ho-hum, and decided to take it to the next level. They have created a desolate future for humanity, by showing surfers relaxing as the world burns around them. It’s an interesting concept, well executed. Apocalypse later, surf now.
The effects were done in Maya, motion tracking in Mocha, and compositing in After Effects. And all on an iMac.
Really well done for a random project. Solid use of GoPro, as always. Disappointingly not available in HD. Devo.
